Christine, Ryan, and Audrey! Family Portrait Photography

I was super excited for this photo shoot!  You might recognize them from this post back when Audrey was just born.  She’s been bringing her parents, family, and friends lots of joy and they asked me to take some photos of them all together.  She’s changed so much and getting cuter and cuter by the second! Gah! I can’t stand it! :D

We went to a park right next to their home.  Although we were worried it would be a little too hot, it was actually perfect weather!  Christine and Ryan, you are amazing parents and I’m looking forward to watching Audrey grow! :)

Akemi and Eric – Maternity/Couple Photography

Akemi and Eric are expecting a baby girl this month!  I’m so very excited for them!

If this gorgeous couple looks familiar,  it might be because you saw these photos of them.  We had a lot of fun on that engagement shoot… and I knew this maternity photo shoot would be a blast, too!

We took a very short drive from their home to this quiet, beautiful park.  It was a perfect place to capture these parents-to-be!

Yes, I love all the greenery (well, my favorite color IS green!!), but I was happy to find this seating area with stone walls.  Akemi, you look AMAZING!

We found another little park on our way home.  It was smaller, but just as quiet.  What’s with all these serene parks by their place? Lucky!

Newborn Twins! Tyler and Connor are here!!

Back in January, I received an email from Susan who told me that her and her husband were expecting twin boys… TWINS!!  I was super excited.  We emailed a few times and I let her know that newborn photos are generally taken in the first 2 weeks so we set the date for the weekend after the babies arrived, which was 8 days after birth.  8 DAYS!  :D

The day before the photo shoot, Susan let me know that things are a little bit hectic in the house.  Um, my house is chaotic with just one baby… I couldn’t imagine what it would be like with 2 newborn boys!  I arrived at their beautiful house and, aside from the signs outside that announce that the boys have arrived, I couldn’t tell that there were 8 day old babies in there.  Seriously.  It was totally peaceful.  Susan greeted me and not only did she look amazing, she was completely calm.  Her husband, Duong, was the same way… calm.  Amazing!!  After Duong helped me with all my luggage (it seriously looked like I was moving into their home) and we picked a good spot to set up everything, we were ready to roll!

Susan and Duong, your boys are beautiful!  I can tell that you guys will be wonderful parents just from the few hours I was there.  Thanks for letting me move around all your furniture, too! :D

Newborn – Baby Audrey is here!

I’ve known Christine and Ryan for over a decade now.  I remember when they first started dating.  They were perfect for each other!  Nothing ever seemed forced and it was like they were totally made for each other.  So cute!  After they got married, we were all wondering (behind their backs and to their face) when they were going to have a baby. Well, that time has come and their baby is here!!! Audrey was born on CHRISTMAS!!!!  She is so precious!!!!!  She is just this tiny, beautiful baby and I feel honored to take photos of her!  :D

She just turned 2 weeks old when I took these photos.  Enjoy~!

Maternity/Couple – Kristin and Isaac

When Kristin approached me about taking maternity photos, I was super excited!  We had a bit of a scheduling issue and thought maybe we wouldn’t be able to do the photo shoot until very close to her due date… and I was super nervous about 2 things: 1) her getting exhausted due to heat/big belly/almost being due/walking and 2) the baby coming early!  I’m glad we worked it out and came up with a way to do this much earlier!

Kristin and Isaac got married in 2008 in beautiful Hawaii and they’re totally the family type!  I attended her baby shower and one of her friends brought her newborn son.  Kristin and Isaac were so good with him and everything seemed to come naturally to them!

Kristin, Isaac, I had a lot of fun on this shoot!  You guys are going to be great parents and your little one is going to be so cute!  I can’t wait to meet him!  And now… just a few shots from the photo shoot!  Enjoy!

Newborn Baby Portraits… quite literally!

Just a little while ago, I had the opportunity to take photos of a newborn baby.  She was born at the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance and she was just born in the last 24 hours when I arrived at the hospital.  I’ve seen newborn babies and infants before, but never THAT new born!  She was the so precious!  Her little hands and feet were so cute, but man, that little one has some lungs!!  Anyway, here she is!
